Program Purchasing helps you manage purchasing that falls outside of the normal parameters. For example, you need to forecast an item over an extended period of time, similar to how a manufacturer might plan production buckets over the next six months. Or, you need to break the buckets down to subsets, such as different colors of the same product. Or, you need to spread orders between multiple vendors. |

- Perform "what if" scenarios and use the same report number so that you do not have to delete and rerun
- Focus on a single product line or a range of product lines
- Target a specific time period
- Focus on a warehouse or a range of warehouses
- Target a buying group or range of buying groups
- Focus on a single vendor
- Ignore products based on a minimum usage amount you enter
- Purchase to a specific target
- Select the demand used to recommend a purchase quantity
- Target type options include quantity, weight, dollar, or cube
- Enter a terms discount or use the vendor's default discount
- Enter a trend percentage or calculate a new one, or use the percentage from the product line setup record
- Use the calculated purchasing net available
- Standard pack rounding may be applied
- Forecast usage looking forward, backward or split
- forward goes back one year and looks
- forward based on the number of months specified
- backwards goes back the number of months specified from the current month
- split goes back one year and looks forward based on the number of months specified and then applies the trend percentage
- Program purchasing reports can be purchased as normal Recommended Replenishment Report through the Buyer's Control Center
